Hi my name is Barbara. I am a Play Assistant at the setting and also the Child Protection Officer.

Child Protection training - Ongoing.

I am a mother of 2 and originally from Sussex. I first encountered the playgroup as a parent and thoroughly enjoyed helping out on parent rota. I asked about jobs and training and before I knew it I was part of the team at Lydney Early Learners.

Now 5 Years on and trained to NVQ LEVEL 3, I also with pleasure took on the role of Child Protection Officer which is my true passion. As Child Protection Officer my role is to make sure all staff are kept up to date with the latest child protection training and making sure our Child Protection Policy is upheld and procedures are followed.

I am also here for parents and carers and if you have any concerns or worries you can ask for me my name and I will be happy to make time for you.
